Òscar Larraga

Specialist in Social and Cultural Anthropology

Òscar studied Film and Audiovisual Media at ESCAC, as well as the Postgraduate in Documentary Photography at the IEFC. This training led him to make several reports in Tanzania and Algeria that led him to the social and cultural mention of the degree in Anthropology and Human Evolution at the University Rovira i Virgili.

As a result of having received the Collaboration Grant from the Ministry of Education, he has participated in the inter-university project CARE MODEL, carrying out a case study on the family tasks of caring for dependent elderly people focused on the gypsy collective of the Raval de Barcelona. In addition, he has experience in consultancy and ethnographic research projects for both public and private entities. Likewise, his interest in society and his holistic view has led him to collaborate with the Refugi Català Programme and to participate as a volunteer in different foundations providing educational support.

At Science For Change, Òscar will contribute his knowledge and skills for the democratization of science and continue learning and training in the field of citizen participation.
